Description

This is the final composite of the "Epoch". I made a cool matte painting to set the scene for the image. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it so its not 100% accurate but I hope you all can recognize it!

I hope all you Chrono Trigger fans out there enjoy this image as much as I did creating it!

It's beautiful! I love how you've done the Epoch, as well as the backdrop. The only thing is the background blurring-- mainly the sky and the hilltops -- the lake and lastly the Epoch's cockpit. First off, the sky usually isn't blurred. It's mildly distracting set behind the Epoch. Second, the hills blur a little too suddenly, and Guardia Forest seems both blurred and detailed, which is distracting. A more gradual blur would be much easier on the eyes and would allow more focus on the centerpiece: the Epoch, in all it's wonderfully-detailed glory, the only thing missing being the pilots (hard to choose, but might I suggest Crono, Marle, and Lucca, to go with the time period and the feel?). As for the lake, I had to look up a picture of the world map to see what it was, since it looks like it's resting on top of the hills here, and has a transparent quality that resembles the force field found on the Mystic's continent. The colors, however, are bright and perfect, and I love the balloons drifting up from the Millennial Fair. As a whole, this picture feels like Guardia 1000 AD, full of life and hope.
